Innsmouth SPCA calls owners to claim pets

The Innsmouth Observer has asked owners to claim lost pets that were put outside during the recent door-to-door visits by the Federal Government.

"We recognise that the choice of pets is the prerogative of the owner," said SPCA manager Quincy Batrachian. "We also understand that the depth charges set of Devils' Reef may have caused some pets to panic and stray. However we are hard pressed to care for some of them and are uncertain of their feeding requirements."

This dog answers to the name of 'Skippy' when fresh meat is offered.
If you know who it belongs to, the Innsmouth SPCA asks you to urgently collect it, as it will not eat canned pet food. Alternatively, if you wish to adopt it, it will make a delightful companion for a  child.
Batrachian went on to note that numerous squids were found on the beach after the depth-charges were set off, and called on residents with aquariums and swimming pools to provide friendly, loving homes.

He also made a call for volunteers to help care for the animals on a temporary basis until a new permanent helper can be found following Thursday's tragic incident when a kennel door was inadvertently opened.
