Avengers: Hulk steals the show

The hotly anticipated Avengers is here. Loki makes mischief but the Hulk steals the show.

Thor is about as wooden as Pinocchio. Captain Fury is a dull pastiche of other war leaders. Captain America lacks wit and is nowhere near as interesting as in the first flick. Tony Stark overshadows Iron Man. Black Widow and the Hawk were bit players. Stan Lee's appearance was not done well.

Hulk makes it work, and Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner is a far more real character than Eric Bana or Edward Norton. If you haven't seen it, watch for the highlight moment when the Hulk stands next to Thor in the aftermath of a battle, late in the movie.

Worth seeing if, like me, you don't intend to put aside comics, ever.
